
MEET THE COACHES
As a Viera Volleyball coaching staff our goal is to inspire and motivate volleyball players both on and off the court. We emphasize sportsmanship, teamwork, and community service. We strive to give every player a better understanding of herself through hard work and competition.
COACHES

Head Coach
Sarah Wayne
Sarah Wayne has been the Varsity Head coach at Viera High School since it opened in 2006. Sarah grew up in Brevard County and attended Titusville and Satellite High Schools. She was the 4 time- All Space Coast Tennis Player of the Year and 2 time Volleyball Player of the Year. She also played for Cape Coast Volleyball Club winning the Florida Regional Qualifier in 2000. After graduating from Satellite, Sarah attended the University of Kentucky on a full volleyball scholarship. In her 4 years at UK, Sarah ranks in career: Attempts, Kills, Digs and Aces; and also holds the record for most kills in one match (38). In 2012, Sarah made the FL Region Professional Volleyball Team, Florida WAVE as an outside. Sarah teaches AP Psychology at Viera High School and has 3 children.

Varsity Assistant Coach
Lana Andrews
Lana has been around the game in multiple capacities for over two decades. Lana spent time assisting at the division three college level, before moving on to high school and club coaching. Most recently she coached here at Viera High and club volleyball in Brevard. She has a bachelors degree in Physical Education and coaching. It’s her philosophy to use the game as a vehicle to encourage, develop, grow, and instill positive life skills in young athletes. “Good, better, best, never let it rest, until your good is better and better best.”

Junior Varsity Coach
Peggy Callenberger
Peggy Callenberger brings over 40 years of volleyball experience to our program. Throughout her career, she coached grades 3-12 in Detroit Michigan, New Smyrna Beach, and Merritt Island. Coach Callenberger has also coached for Cape Coast Volleyball Club in Brevard ages 11-15U. In addition, she officiated for AAU and USA Volleyball. Coach Callenberger started as a player in San Diego, California and played collegiately for Northern Arizona University.

Freshman Coach
Elizabeth recently moved to Viera, FL from Fort Worth, TX. She has two kids with her husband Geoff who both attend Viera HS. Elizabeth grew up playing and coaching volleyball in Orange County, CA, where she coached club for 8 years, ran her own non-profit volleyball club for 17 years, and coached boys' and girls' varsity for 11 years. She is looking forward to coaching alongside the Viera staff, building a healthy team foundation, and being a mentor to the players. Above all, she love that volleyball teaches young adults important life lessons—commitment, time management, goal setting, health and fitness, leadership, and how to be a great teammate.
Elizabeth Ledoyen

Varsity Volunteer Assistant
Ashlyn played D1 volleyball at University of Tennessee and University of Alabama at Birmingham. She coached club volleyball at NASA South in Birmingham and Biltmore Academy in Asheville, NC. Ashlyn is also the Cape Coast 14s assistant coach. She attended PA school at UAB and now a certified PA in general surgery at Holmes Regional and Palm Bay. Ashlyn and her husband live in Viera with their son Luca.
Ashlyn Sunseri Cain

Varsity Volunteer Assistant
Doug played his college volleyball at Ball State University and continued on to receive gold and bronze medals in the 89-90 Olympic Festivals. Doug has had multiple coaching roles over the years including volunteer roles at Nebraska and Texas as well as over 10 years of coaching club volleyball. Doug is an aerospace engineer for Northrup Grumman. Doug's wife, Errica was an All-American middle at the University of Texas. Doug has 2 daughters. Anjelina is currently a senior OH for the Penn State Nittany Lions and Izzy was the 2025 NCAA Freshman of the year as a setter for Penn State, both a part of the National Championship team.
